god did Jeremy Lin pay off a bunch of internet bloggers to care about him because I really don’t see what the big fucking deal is

I really don’t wanna be THAT guy but..

  • The guy went undrafted out of Harvard so he had to work harder to get a contract with an NBA team
  • He worked out for Dallas during the summer of 2010 before drawing interest with the Golden State Warriors
  • Golden State signed him last year for only a year before joining the Rockets until he got cut back in December, with rare playing time
  • He then joined the struggling Knicks who were supposed to be a better team this year with its covenant “superstars,” yet they played terribly
  • The guy hardly got playing time and was ALMOST cut again until the coach, Mike D’antoni, decided to play him after a string of injuries to the team’s players meanwhile struggling to find a point guard to run the team
  • Therefore, after Jeremy Lin made NBA history with a combined 109 points in 4 NBA games as a starter (topping Shaquille O’Neal on the list) and beating Kobe and the Lakers with a career high 38 points not too long ago), he was signed for the remainder of the season
  • He most likely saved the coach’s job as he was on the verge of getting fired, as well as saving his own NBA career
  • This guy came out of NOWHERE and saved this team that apparently had superstars with the likes of Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, which was SUPPOSED to be a good team and is now HIS team to run
  • They’re currently on a 6 game winning streak ever since he joined the line up and he did it without Carmelo Anthony due to a groin injury and Amar’e due to the death of his brother
  • He also hit a game-winning 3 pointer against the Raptors last night
  • So this is supposed to be like the sports story of the decade.. I guess that’s what the big deal is
